फेरान कश्मीर में पुरुषों और महिलाओं दोनों के लिए पारंपरिक पोशाक है। एक पूर्ण लंबाई गाउन, जो पुरुषों और महिलाओं में लोकप्रिय है, भारत के उत्तरी सिरे पर बहुत कुछ देखा जाता है। यह गाउन विशेष रूप से कश्मीर के आसपास के हिमाच्छन्न पहाड़ों के ठंड के मौसम की रक्षा के लिए उपयोगी है।

Pheran is the traditional dress for both men and women in Kashmir. A full length gown, popular among men and women, is seen a lot in the northern tip of India. This gown is especially useful for protecting against the cold weather of the snowy mountains around Kashmir.

कश्मीर की यह पारंपरिक पोशाक एक पूर्ण लंबाई का गाउन है जो ज्यादातर सर्दियों के दौरान पहना जाता है और पुरुषों और महिलाओं दोनों के बीच ड्रेसिंग का लोकप्रिय रूप है।

This traditional dress of Kashmir is a full length gown mostly worn during winters and is a popular form of dressing among both men and women.

कश्मीरी पुरुषों और महिलाओं द्वारा पहने पारंपरिक कश्मीरी पोशाक को फ़ेरन और पुट कहते हैं। फ़ेरन ऊन का बना हुआ एक लम्बा कोट होता है। इसकी लोकप्रियता आज भी बरकरार है। फेरन या फ़्यारन को मूल रूप से कश्मीर के ठंडी सर्दियों से बचाने के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है।

The traditional Kashmiri dress worn by Kashmiri men and women is called Pheran and Put. Pheran is a long coat made of wool. Its popularity continues to this day. Pheran or Phyran is basically designed to protect from the cold winters of Kashmir.

इसकी जड़ें मुगल काल से जुडी हैं। उस समय के शाही घरानों में इस लम्बे परिधान का चलन था। इन पर ज़री का महीन काम होता है। फ़ेरन कश्मीर में मुस्लिम व हिन्दू, दोनों समुदाय की औरतों के द्वारा पहना जाता है। हालाँकि, दोनों समुदायों में इसके पहनाव का तरीका अलग-अलग है।

Its roots are associated with the Mughal period. This long dress was in trend in the royal houses of that time. Fine zari work is done on these. Pheran is worn by both Muslim and Hindu women in Kashmir. However, the way it is dressed is different in both the communities.
