लहंगा जो महिलाओं के लिए पोशाक होती है जो ज्यादातर भारतीय समाज में ही पहना जाता है। यह ज्यादातर ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में पहना जाता है। आमतौर पर महिलाएँ कुर्ती के साथ लहंगा पहनती हैं।

 Lehenga which is a dress for women which is mostly worn in Indian society. It is mostly worn in rural areas. Generally women wear lehenga with kurti.

चोली और ब्लाउज  / वक्षबंधनी को चोली भी कहते हैं। भारतीय चोली का ही विकसित रूप है ब्रा या ब्रेजियर। अब महिलाएं चोली नहीं पहनती हैं। वे ब्रा ही पहनती हैं। चोली के पीछे है इतिहास 2000 साल पुराना। 

Choli and blouse / Vakshabandhani are also called choli. The bra or brazier is an evolved form of the Indian bodice. Women no longer wear bodices. She wears only bra. The history behind the choli is 2000 years old.

गुजरात और महाराष्ट्र में ईसा के जन्म से भी पहले की पेंटिंग्स में चोली को देखा गया। चोली का मकसद था औरत के स्तनों को ढंकना। आधुनिक ब्लाउज का जन्म इसी से हुआ। स्तनों पर चोली और चोली के ऊपर ब्लाउज पहना जाता है।

In Gujarat and Maharashtra, the choli was seen in paintings even before the birth of Christ. The purpose of the choli was to cover the woman's breasts. From this the modern blouse was born. A bodice is worn on the breasts and a blouse is worn over the choli.

 राजस्थानी महिलाएं इसे घाघरे के साथ पहनती थीं, जो आगे से ढंकी होती थीं और पीछे से बांधने के लिए इनमें डोरी होती थी। चोली का डिजाइन कल्चर्स के साथ बदलता रहता है।

Rajasthani women wore it with a ghagra, which covered the front and had a string to tie it at the back. The design of the choli varies with the cultures.

राजस्थान की मूल पारंपरिक भारतीय पोशाक, लहंगा चोली सभी उत्सवों और पार्टियों के लिए मुख्य पोशाक बन गई है। घाघरा चोली की विभिन्न शैलियों को महिलाओं द्वारा पहना जाता है, एक साधारण सूती लहंगा चोली से लेकर एक दैनिक पहनने के रूप में, आमतौर पर गरबा नृत्य के लिए नवरात्रि के दौरान पहने जाने वाले दर्पणों वाला एक पारंपरिक घाघरा या दुल्हन द्वारा विवाह समारोहों के दौरान पहना जाने वाला पूरी तरह से कढ़ाई वाला लहंगा शामिल है।

The original traditional Indian dress of Rajasthan, the lehenga choli has become the main outfit for all celebrations and parties. Various styles of ghagra choli are worn by women, ranging from a simple cotton lehenga choli as a daily wear, to a traditional ghagra with mirrors usually worn during Navratri for Garba dance or during marriage ceremonies by the bride. घागरा चोली या लहंगा चोली एक आम पारंपरिक कपड़े हैं जो राजस्थान और गुजरात में महिलाओं द्वारा आमतौर पर पहने जाते हैं। इस पोशाक के विभिन्न रूप हैं, एक कढ़ाई वाला संस्करण है जो शादी समारोहों के दौरान पहना जाता है और दूसरा दर्पण सुशोभित घागरा नवरात्रि के उत्सव के समय पहना जाता है। ओडनी के साथ मिलकर यह पोशाक अधिक सुंदर हो जाती हैं। इसीलिए आजकल ये देश के अन्य भागों में भी लोकप्रिय हो गए हैं।

Ghagra choli or lehenga choli is a common traditional dress commonly worn by women in Rajasthan and Gujarat. There are various variations of this dress, one is the embroidered version which is worn during wedding ceremonies and the other mirror embellished ghagra is worn during the celebration of Navratri. This outfit becomes more beautiful when combined with Odni. That is why nowadays they have become popular in other parts of the country as well.
